The Situation
SNC-Lavalin, located in Montreal, Canada, had recently completed the acquisition of a local engineering firm with 500 employees. The firm was scattered among four different suburban office buildings. SNC engaged NAI Puget Sound Properties to locate and negotiate a new transaction that would consolidate their new employees under one roof with the objective of reducing their overall leasing costs while maintaining additional future expansion opportunity. To make matters even more difficult, SNC's business requirements dictated that the undertaking would need to be completed within a 120-day timeframe.
Our Solution
Within 30 days of our engagement, NAI Puget Sound Properties negotiated a new lease for SNC in a 104,000 square foot facility that both saved SNC more than $3,000,000 in rent over its six-year term and provided 10,000 square feet of expansion space.
